WHITSAND BAY: a beautiful 5 mile stretch of sandy beaches, cliffs and rock-pools which is a "locals paradise" and generally uncrowded. Excellent bathing, with the sand sloping gently into the sea. The area is a popular south coast surfing location with generally small but fun waves to be found over a range of beaches, banks and rocky outcrops. The beach is lifeguard patrolled throughout the summer. Dogs are allowed on the beach but there is no public vehicular access. Nearby is the superb Whitsand Bay Golf Club and Hotel, a highly under-rated links course perched directly on the cliff top above the village of Portwrinkle. The local twin fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand provide a classic Cornish setting with narrow streets and numerous pubs serving great beers and a fine selection of foods. The national coast path runs directly in-front of the chalet and provides good walking east to Rame Head and west to Portwrinkle. Looe and Polperro are only a 20 minute drive away. Just offshore are numerous wrecks for the diving enthusiast including the ‘Scylla’, an ex-navy ship recently sunk as an artificial reef/dive site.
MIRAMAR is a detached cliff-top chalet located in Freathy with stunning views from Rame Head to the East all the way to the Lizard Peninsula in the West. The property consists of large sloping lawn areas and a patio from which to take in the stunning views. The chalet itself has been recently upgraded to provide comfortable accommodation for four (4) adults or up to a family of five (5) in two (2) bedrooms. A brand new separate kitchen and bathroom are modern and fully equipped. A separate lounge and full width sunroom with dining area complete the accommodation, 180º sea views from the sunroom are unrivalled. Access to the beaches is via numerous local cliff paths.
